The City of Wichita is looking to source community feedback through a community survey. The survey asks residents their opinions about local government services as well as resident priorities.
The survey is available in both English and Spanish:
The survey is similar to surveys that have been administered in the past by the National Research Center, which is now owned by Polco. The City plans to begin distributing community surveys on a more frequent basis – changing from biannual to annual. Another change to this survey is asking residents to rank their top priorities in addition to rating service delivery.
On Friday, October 14, 5000 randomly selected recipients from all six council districts received postcards in the mail. Residents who received surveys in the mail are asked to return them in the envelopes provided as soon as possible. The results are compared to results from prior years and to other communities throughout the U.S.
The online survey is a broader phase of data gathering and will close on November 28, 2022. All Wichita residents are encouraged to participate in the online version of the survey.
Results are expected to be finalized by March of 2023, and the City will share results at that time.
