What goes bump in the night at Old Cowtown Museum? Bring your child to “A Night of Hay, Hooves and Halloween” from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 to find out. Spooky, family-friendly Halloween fun will be waiting for them up and down Cowtown’s eerie roads. Costumes are optional. Admission is just $5 for children and adults. Cowtown is located at 1865 W. Museum Blvd.
Not-so-scary activity stations will be set up around Cowtown to entertain the curious trick-or-treaters. At each stop, they can play games with Cowtown’s ghostly friends and round up all the candy their bags can hold. There will also be opportunities for them to make s’mores by the campfire and interact with well-known storybook characters such as the Headless Horseman from “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”
“A Night of Hay, Hooves and Halloween” marks the first time that Cowtown has held an evening Halloween event for kids. For more information, call (316) 350-3323 or go to OldCowtown.org.
Established in 1952, Cowtown is one of the oldest living-history museums in the Midwest.
