Limited number of tickets available for two shows

The members of Barrage can easily be described as the rock stars of the string world, and their High Strung Tour is coming to Wichita for two highly anticipated performances. The shows begin at 7 p.m. on March 23 and 24 at Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center, 225 W. Douglas. Tickets are now on sale for $26 at the WichitaTIX box office, by phone at (316) 219-4849 or online at

Barrage was previously in Wichita in 2005, when the group performed for more than 2,000 concert-goers in Century II’s Convention Hall. This time around, however, Barrage will be in the more intimate Mary Jane Teall Theater which has a maximum capacity of 650 people each night. Tickets are selling quickly, but good seats are still available for those who buy them now.

Barrage is an international, multi-talented string group made up of six violinists/vocalists, a drummer, bass player and guitarist. What sets Barrage apart from other musical groups is the high-octane energy its members show on stage and their ability to dance and perform breathtaking music from so many different musical genres, ranging from classical to middle European Gypsy to straight-out rock.

Barrage has entertained millions of people around the globe since it was formed in Calgary, Canada in 1996. Fans in Europe, Asia, South Pacific and North America have enjoyed Barrage at international festivals, concert performances, special events and television appearances.
