The City of Wichita’s Park and Recreation Department is scheduled to host its annual Easter Egg Party from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 27 at Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Boulevard. The event is free for children ages 2-10 and their parents.
The Easter Egg Party includes a visit by the Easter Bunny, inflatable moonwalks, carnival games, jelly bean guessing contest and prize drawings. Pictures can be taken with the Easter Bunny for a $5 fee; participants may bring a camera. Children should also bring their baskets for the Easter egg hunt.
Children will be given a sack of candy and a ticket for a free train ride upon completion of the egg hunt. (In the event of in-climate weather, the make-up date is Saturday, April 3). The train rides, along with miniature golf, pony rides and paddle boats ($2.50 fee) will begin at noon.
