Mayor to announce members on Monday
Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer has scheduled a news conference regarding the appointment of the Wichita Water Utilities Advisory Task Force at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at City Hall, 455 N. Main.
Media are encouraged to attend the news conference, which will be held before the weekly Media Agenda Review in the West Conference Room of the City Manager’s Office.
Brewer will announce the members of the task force and discuss its role and responsibilities. The committee is designed to advise the City Manager and City staff and serve as a resource for the City Council on matters related to the Wichita region’s water supply resources and goals. In addition, the Committee will serve as a communication liaison to area communities, businesses and other Water Utilities customers.
“This task force will assist policymakers and staff in efforts to ensure a long-term water supply for our region,” Brewer said.
