The Wichita Mid-Continent Airport has passed its annual Certification and Safety Inspection with flying colors.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspectors found zero discrepancies as they looked at airport emergency response capability, airfield safety maintenance and self-inspection program, compliance with FAA regulatory and operational directives and personnel training programs.
“My sincere compliments and congratulations go out to all of our Operations, Maintenance and Public Safety staffs that have again made it possible to complete this important inspection with no discrepancies,” said Brad Christopher, Assistant Director of Airports. “They are to be commended for their hard work and diligence in making this possible, and this is a testament to their commitment to a high level of safety.”
Mid-Continent Airport has scored perfect inspections in the years 1998-2000 and 2003-2010.
