Free Entertainment for Music Lovers
The public is invited to attend Acoustic Arts in the Park, a series of free concerts held the 2nd and 4th Saturday of June, July, and August. The Kansas Acoustic Arts Association is putting on the concerts which will take place from 11 am to 2 pm in Central Riverside Park. Each Saturday will feature three different musical acts. People are encouraged to bring lunches to enjoy during the performances.
“It is our goal to promote acoustic musicians and music of all genres to music lovers of all ages,” said Dulice Guinty of the Kansas Acoustic Arts Association. “Through hands-on music workshops at Old Cowtown Museum, the Guitars for Kids program and Acoustic Arts in the Park, we hope to entertain and inspire future music lovers by giving a little back to the community.”
This is the 5th year for Acoustic Arts in the Park. The first event this Saturday will feature artist Steve and Charisse Kahler, Amanda Lind and Acoustic.
