Mayor Carl Brewer is scheduled to attend a news briefing at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Wichita Public Library, 223 S. Main.
In the third floor auditorium, Mayor Brewer will announce Wichita’s participation in The Big Read, a national literacy program designed to restore reading to the center of American culture.
Also in attendance will be Vicki Tiahrt, Wichita Public Library’s Director of Libraries Cynthia Berner Harris and other community partners.
