Two public meetings regarding the future of City of Wichita golf courses are scheduled for August. The first meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at MacDonald Golf Course, 840 N. Yale; the second is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15 at LW Clapp Golf Course, 4611 E. Harry
Park and Recreation Department staffers will make presentations on the performance and projections of the City’s five public golf courses. Park Board members will conduct the meetings. Residents are encouraged to attend and offer feedback related to a proposal to close one of the City’s five golf courses and capture the savings to make improvements at the remaining courses.
