Three Day Training Event Kicks off Sept. 16
The Wichita Fire Department is hosting the fifth annual Wichita Hands on Training or HoT event. It kicks off tomorrow evening at the Wichita Fire Department Regional Training Center, 4780 E. 31st south. Nearly 200 firefighters from Wichita and across the Midwest are expected to attend. The training will be provided by Wichita firefighters and other instructors from all over the country.

Saturday, 8 am

10am – 4:45pm
Classroom breakout sessions led by instructors from New York City, Boston, Oklahoma City, Clearwater, Toledo, Gary and Wichita.
Sunday, 8am – 5pm
Hands on classes featuring topics such as forcible entry, large area search and man vs. machinery
The mission of Wichita HoT is to provide high quality training to firefighters at a fraction of the cost of most fire schools.
