Anyone with an interest in the future design of Douglas Avenue in downtown Wichita is invited to participate in an online survey at www.wichita.gov. Click on Douglas Design Online Survey under the header City Spotlight.
Survey responses will be used to finalize a plan for Douglas Avenue from Washington Avenue to McLean Boulevard. The plan will be presented on Thursday, October 27th in the auditorium of the Bank of America Center, 100 N. Broadway. The meeting will begin with a reception and open house at 5:30 p.m., with a presentation of the plan beginning at 6:15 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public.
Developing the future design of Douglas Avenue is an initiative of the Project Downtown master plan and is sponsored by the City of Wichita, the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the Wichita Downtown Development Corporation. The project is led by Design Workshop, a landscape architecture and urban design firm based in Denver.
