In observance of the Veterans Day Holiday, City of Wichita facilities will be closed Friday. This includes City Hall, Park Recreation Centers, Neighborhood City Halls, CityArts, Wichita Art Museum, Great Plains Nature Center, Watson Park, Old Cowtown Museum, Wichita Public Library locations. Century II Administrative Offices and WichitaTIX will be closed but Century II will be open for scheduled events. Botanica Administrative Offices will be closed but the Gardens will be open.
Municipal golf courses will be open. The Ralph Wulz Riverside Tennis Center and the Ice Center will be open normal business hours and the Animal Shelter will be open holiday hours from 1 to 5 p.m.
There will be no transit bus service and administration offices will be closed. Wichita Transit will resume normal business operations on Saturday with the Saturday service schedule.
