In observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday, City of Wichita facilities will be closed Thursday and Friday. This includes City Hall, Neighborhood City Halls, Park and Recreation Centers, Cowtown, CityArts, Watson Park, Mid-America All Indian Center, Century II Administrative Offices, Wichita Art Museum and Wichita Public Library locations.
Neighborhood City Halls will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Library locations will close at 5:30 p.m.
Transit Administrative offices will be closed and no bus or paratransit van service will be provided on Thursday or Friday. The normal service schedule will resume Saturday.
The Great Plains Nature Center will be closed Thursday through Saturday.
The Ice Center and the Ralph Wulz Riverside Tennis Center will be closed Thursday. They will be open normal hours on Friday.
Botanica will be closed Thursday. It will open from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday for Illuminations.
The Animal Shelter will be closed Thursday and open Friday with holiday hours from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
