Wichita Transit and its partners raised $2,400 in cash donations and 11 bus loads of items during this year’s annual Stuff the Bus campaign. During the holiday season, a Wichita Transit bus travels around Wichita and surrounding areas collecting toys, clothing, non-perishable food, personal hygiene items and household goods. The items will support the women and children served by Catholic Charities Harbor House and the YWCA Women’s Crisis Center.
Donations collected from Stuff the Bus provide approximately one half of the total items needed per year for each shelter. The fundraiser has taken place since 1998.
B-98 radio and Wichita Transit are long standing supporters of Stuff the Bus. In addition, Preferred Health Systems and Carey, Thomas, Hoover & Breault Investments sponsored this year’s event.
