The bid opening for the Wichita airport terminal (Air Capital Terminal 3) project will take place today at 2 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 455 N. Main.
Today’s bid opening will determine the apparent low bidder for the new terminal building project. Multiple parties will then review the bid process including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Wichita Airport Authority and City of Wichita staff. After FAA review, the Wichita City Council acting as the Wichita Airport Authority will award the contract to the successful bidder.
The contract is expected to be awarded in late April or early May. Ground breaking and construction is expected to begin in June.
