The American Red Cross continues adapting to community needs after an EF-3 tornado damaged parts of Wichita and Oaklawn, Kan. While Red Cross focuses on immediate needs at its shelter, 801 E. Market Street, Derby Kansas, Red Cross is also looking at additional ways to help.
On Tuesday, it established a resource center at the Oaklawn Community Center, 2936 E. Oaklawn Dr where it is distributing food, clean-up kits, stuffed animals for children and disaster recovery information. Red Cross will be at this location daily until further notice.
Public affairs personnel is available on scene to assist with media interviews and information.
