Surveillance pictures released, public asked for assistance
The Wichita Police Department is investigating a 10:25 a.m. robbery on Tuesday morning at Bank of the West, 255 N. Main. According to surveillance equipment and witnesses, the suspect is a black male, standing 5-feet, 11-inches tall and medium built. He is approximately 35 years old.
A surveillance photo shows the suspect with a dark bandana over his face, wire-frame glasses, black pants and a jacket with an unknown white logo on the left front of the jacket. The suspect wore a black cap with an unknown white logo on it. No weapon was observed by witnesses or surveillance photos. The suspect placed the money in a green bag and left on foot, heading south and west from the bank.
No one was injured during the robbery. The Wichita Police case number is 12C056179.
