Annual Cowtown event scheduled for Sept. 16
Wine glasses and Western boots? You’ll find that eclectic combination at the 4th Annual Wine Mosey, 4-8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 16, at Old Cowtown Museum, 1865 W. Museum Blvd.
Tickets are $40 per person and may be purchased online at WichitaTIX.com or by phone at (316) 350-3323. The event is a benefit for Cowtown’s advisory board, Historic Wichita Cowtown, Inc. The American Institute of Wine and Food is a sponsor.
The evening offers guests many opportunities to enjoy an array of fine wine, food and entertainment as they support Wichita’s only living history museum.
Wine stations and hors d’oeuvres, provided by the Doubletree Inn by Hilton Airport, will be located inside many of Cowtown’s buildings, encouraging visitors to stroll the grounds. A performance by the Diamond W Wranglers and a barbecue dinner, courtesy of the Wichita Wagonmasters, will both take place outdoors. A live auction, gunfight re-enactments, stagecoach rides, the Dixie Lee Saloon Girls and outdoor antique bowling round out the evening’s activities.
All money raised by the Wine Mosey will be used to fund future additions to Cowtown as well as enhance its education program that serves both youth and adults. Guests must be 21 or older to attend, and Western/casual attire and comfortable shoes are recommended. For more information about the Wine Mosey, visit www.oldcowtown.org or call (316) 350-3323.
