MYC Schedules Saturday Cleanup at Watson Park
The Mayor’s Youth Council (MYC) has scheduled a neighborhood park cleanup from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Boulevard.
An estimated 70 high school and middle school students are expected to participate in the event, billed as Young Leaders Across Wichita.
MYC is comprised of more than 30 youth from Wichita area high schools who are interested in local government, volunteer activities and community service such as Saturday’s cleanup event, which includes youth volunteers from churches, schools and other civic groups. MYC aims to raise youth awareness and engagement about community service. It strives to serve the community through volunteerism and education about healthy choices and activities.
