City of Wichita swimming pools will open Monday, May 27. They will remain open through Aug. 4. The pools that will open Monday include:
• Aley, 1800 S. Seneca
• Boston, 6700 E. Boston
• Evergreen, 2700 N. Woodland
• Linwood, 1900 S. Hydraulic
• McAdams, 1556 N. Ohio
• Minisa, 1350 N. Jeanette
• Orchard, 1062 N. Clara
Harvest Swimming Pool (9500 W. Provincial) and College Hill (304 S. Circle Drive) are scheduled to open Friday, May 31. Rainy weather delayed painting and caulking repairs.
Two City pools - Edgemoor and Country Acres – closed in 2012. They will remain closed until repairs, maintenance and improvements are addressed. City officials are seeking public feedback on improvements for aquatics programs and facilities. Residents may join the discussion at
