Gift giveaway part of annual project to spread holiday cheer
The City of Wichita, Cambridge Market and Starkey Inc. are once again teaming up with the North Pole to collect letters for Santa and give away early Christmas presents that include a guest appearance on a KAKE Channel 10 newscast. In its fourth year, the Letters to Santa Project is a way for the City and its partners to spread a little holiday cheer. More than 1,500 letters were received last year.
From Nov. 18 through Dec. 10, children ages 12 and under are invited to drop off their letters at Century II (Concert Hall entrance), CityArts, Old Cowtown Museum, the Mid-America All-Indian Center, Cambridge Market or Starkey, Inc. (see addresses below). Children who include a return address on their letter will receive a response from Santa Claus himself!
All kids who participate will be automatically entered in the gift giveway. One grand prize winner will be selected to read his or her letter live on KAKE News at 11 a.m. with Jemelle Holopirek. Other prizes include a free youth art class at CityArts, family memberships to Cowtown and the Indian Center, a gift certificate for an upcoming performance at Century II and $50 in Cambridge Market Bucks.
