Applications now being accepted by City of Wichita
Applications for the City of Wichita’s 2015 Arts Funding Grants are now available to nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and individual artists. Applications are posted online at WichitaArts.com. They may also be picked up at the Division of Arts & Cultural Services’ administrative offices at Century II, 225 W. Douglas. There are three funding categories.
- City of Wichita 2015 Cultural Funding for Operational Grants Application
The 2015 Cultural Funding application process is open to all 501(c)(3) non-profit arts and cultural organizations that serve Wichita residents. Funding is available for operational uses only. Applicants must attend one of two workshops scheduled for noon-1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31 and 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Century II Meeting Room 101B. The deadline to apply is March 14, 2014.
- Developing Arts Grants Application
The Developing Arts Grant Program provides funding for technical assistance to small and/or developing cultural groups with annual operational budgets under $50,000. The groups must create, present or produce year-round cultural activities and arts programs in Wichita. Applicants must attend one of two workshops scheduled for noon-1 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6 in Century II Meeting Room 101B. The deadline to apply is Feb. 21, 2014.
- Artist Access Grants Application
The Artist Access Grants Program is designed to assist practicing, professional and emerging artists who live in Wichita. The program provides support for artists to take advantage of specific and exceptional professional development and skill-building opportunities to advance their work and careers as working artists. The deadline to apply is Feb. 21, 2014.
