City officials will be present at six District Advisory Board meetings to provide information on the preliminary floodplain maps recently released by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The meetings will be focused on the impact of FEMA floodplain map changes in specific City Council districts.
District 1: March 30th at the Atwater Neighborhood Center (2755 E 19th St. North)
District 2: April 13th, Fire Station #20 (2255 S. Greenwich Rd.)
District 3: March 4th, WATER Center (101 E. Pawnee)
District 4: April 6th, Alford Library (3447 S. Meridian Ave.)
District 5: March 16th, Fire Station #21 (2110 N. 135th St. West)
District 6: March 18th, Evergreen Recreation Center (2700 N. Woodland)
Additional community meetings will be held in May after affected property owners have been notified. FEMA and officials from the State of Kansas will be present at the May meetings to provide more information about how property owners may be impacted by the preliminary map changes.
