Comedic actor Kevin Hart is bringing his “What Now” tour to Wichita for three shows at the Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center. The performances will be at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20. Tickets are on sale now at WichitaTIX.com, in person at Century II or by phone at (316) 303-8100. Century II is located at 225 W. Douglas.
Well known on both television and the big screen, Hart sees humor in everyday life experiences and makes his audiences take a hard look at the things everyone thinks, but are too afraid to say. Although Hart can be irreverent, raw and somewhat brass, he captivates his audiences with an innocent sensitivity that pulls at the heart strings while leaving them rolling in the aisles.
One of the hardest working comedians around, Hart will next be seen in the Chris Rock-directed film “Top Five,” alongside Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld and Whoopi Goldberg. He has already completed production on three other comedies slated for 2015 – “The Wedding Ringer,” “Get Hard” opposite Will Farrell and “Ride Along 2,” the sequel to this year’s $100 million blockbuster hit. Hart is a force in television as well, executive producing “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” which premiered its third season in September on BET.
Hart began his career sizing men and women for footwear. Performing on a whim at a Philadelphia comedy club, Hart was instantly hooked and quit his job as a shoe salesman. Not long after, he began performing full time at such clubs as The Boston Comedy Club, Caroline's, Stand-Up NY, The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Hart currently lives in Los Angeles with his family and continues to tour the country to sold-out crowds.
