In observance of Thanksgiving Day, City of Wichita facilities will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28.
This includes City Hall, Neighborhood Resource Centers, Park and Recreation Centers, Cowtown, CityArts, Watson Park, Mid-America All-Indian Center, Century II Administrative Offices and Wichita Public Library locations.
Neighborhood Resource Centers and library locations will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Wichita Transit administrative offices will be closed and bus and paratransit van service will not operate on Thursday but will operate the Saturday schedule on Friday.
Great Plains Nature Center will be closed Thursday through Saturday.
The Ice Center and Wichita golf courses will be closed Thursday. They will be open normal hours on Friday. The Ralph Wulz Tennis Center is closed on Thursday and open on Friday, from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Wichita Art Museum will be closed on Thursday, it will be open Friday through Sunday, normal business hours. Botanica will be closed Thursday. It will open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday for Illuminations, the holiday show.
The Animal Shelter will be closed Thursday and open Friday with holiday hours from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
