Rebates Available for Water Savings

City of Wichita officials on Monday reminded residents about its rebate program that provides incentives for conserving water. So far, the City has approved 1,877 applications resulting in a total value of $222,839.24 in rebates given back to the community. Remaining funding is approximately $227,160.76.
 
The City has been accepting rebate applications since July 1; the City Council approved the rebate program on June 10. Rebates will continue until the program ends on Dec. 31 or funding runs out.
 
So far the rebates have included 647 Washing Machines; 627 Dishwashers; 782 Toilets; 8 Smart Irrigation Controllers; 12 Dual Flush Kits; 32 Rain Sensors; and 218 Rain Barrels. Specifically, eight devices and appliances are eligible for rebates.
