In observance of Christmas and New Year’s, City of Wichita facilities will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25, and Thursday, Jan. 1. This includes City Hall, Neighborhood Resource Centers, Park and Recreation Centers, CityArts, the Wichita Art Museum, the Great Plains Nature Center, Watson Park, Wichita Golf Courses, Century II Administrative Offices and Wichita Public Library locations.
Neighborhood Resource Centers and library locations will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The Park and Recreation Centers, the Great Plains Nature Center, and Watson Park will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 31.
The Mid-America All-Indian Center will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 through Saturday, Dec. 27 and Thursday, Jan. 1. Cowtown will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, Thursday, Dec. 25, and Thursday, Jan. 1.
Wichita Transit administrative offices will be closed and bus and paratransit van service will not operate on Thursday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 1.
The Ice Center closes at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and closed Thursday, Dec. 25 as well Thursday, Jan. 1. The Ralph Wulz Tennis Center is closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24, Thursday, Dec. 25, and Thursday, Jan. 1.
Botanica will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25; Thursday, Jan. 1 through Sunday, Jan. 4. It will open at 5:30 on Friday, Dec. 26 for Illuminations, the holiday show.
The Animal Shelter will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 1.
