The City will accept rebate applications for the Water Conservation Rebate program until it ends on Dec. 31 or the funding runs out. The rebates may be used for eight eligible devices and appliances.
The City has approved 2,041 applications resulting in a total value of $242,545 in rebates. There is approximately $207,455 left in the rebate fund.
To date, the rebates have included 691 washing machines; 687 dishwashers; 841 toilets; nine smart irrigation controllers; 12 dual flush kits; 35 rain sensors; and 227 rain barrels.
Detailed lists of qualifying items are available at Wichita.gov and SaveWichitaWater.com. The City strongly recommends taking a printout of the qualifying appliances for reference when shopping. There is a limit of five rebated items per water customer. Rebates will not exceed the purchase price.
