12/11/2014
Contact: Angela Cato |
City of Wichita staff will be at Starkey, Inc. at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, to announce results of this year’s Letters to Santa Project as well as introduce media to the “elves” at Starkey and Cambridge Market who are making sure every child gets a response from Santa Claus. Media are invited. Starkey is located at 4500 W. Maple.

Out of all the letters received this year, two will be drawn on Monday to receive the grand prizes in the gift giveaway:
·         Guest appearance on KAKE News at 11 a.m. with Jemelle Holopirek to read his or her Santa letter; and
·         Ride on a City of Wichita fire truck.

The Letters to Santa Project is sponsored by the City of Wichita, Starkey, Inc. and Cambridge Market. Letters were dropped off by area children ages 12 and under Nov. 14 through Dec. 12 at the Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center, CityArts, the Mid-America All-Indian Center, Cowtown, Starkey Inc. and Cambridge Market.

The Letters to Santa Project is a way for the City of Wichita and its partners to spread holiday cheer. The initiative is now in its fifth year.
