The City of Wichita is accepting applications to fill five positions on the new Wichita Bicycle Wayfinding System Plan Steering Committee. The Steering Committee will help guide the planning process and development of the Wichita Bicycle Wayfinding System Plan. The plan will serve as a guide to make it easier for bicyclists to navigate the city.
The Steering Committee is expected to hold at least two meetings during the twelve-month long planning process. The meetings are expected to be held in the late afternoon or evenings. Steering Committee applicants should be aware additional work (i.e. reviewing drafts, site visits, etc.) outside of the committee meetings may be requested. Please visit wichita.gov to complete an application. Click on the “Government” tab at the top of the homepage, followed by the “Citizen Advisory Boards/Committees” link.
It is anticipated the Steering Committee members will be appointed by the Wichita Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board in May. The Steering Committee will be a subcommittee of that board. Please contact Scott Wadle, Senior Planner at (316)352-4855 or
swadle@wichita.gov with questions. Applications should be submitted by April 30.
