Residents can help shape aquatics plan
City of Wichita officials are seeking public input on ways to improve public pools as part of a broader aquatics plan. Two community engagement meetings are scheduled for:
- 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, at Atwater Neighborhood Resource Center (2755 E. 19th Street); and
- 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at Park Villa Community Facility (1029 N. Bitting).
Troy Houtman, director of Park & Recreation, and Brian Hill, the City’s Aquatics Manager, will provide information on public swimming pools and the aquatics program. For more information, please contact the Wichita Park & Recreation office at (316) 268-4361.
