The Wichita Police Department is asking motorists to please avoid the following flooded areas which have been closed since 8:15 a.m. today:
- 13th and Park Place
- 13th and Main
- 13th and Waco
- 13th and Maize
- Edwards and Pawnee
- Douglas and Bleckley
- 9th and Washington
- Murdock and Cleveland
- 600 N. Chautauqua
Also, there are numerous traffic lights out and manhole covers have been pushed off their holes. Please avoid these areas and treat flashing red lights like a four-way stop. Wichita Police Officers are working to address these situations as they arise. Please don't drive into high water and allow extra time to get to your destination.
