Wichita Park and Recreation will host the 8th annual Bunny Blast & Egg Hunt event beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 19 at O.J. Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Blvd.
Admission is $5 per car load at the entrance gate. Youth will have an opportunity to hunt eggs with their own baskets and take a photo with an Easter bunny. Eggs hunts will be held throughout the event. Ages 2-4, 5-7, and 8-10 will have their own hunting areas. Participants can enjoy other park activities including a jelly bean guessing contest, miniature golf, inflatables, Touch a Truck, and Egg Foosball.
O.J. Watson Park is a 119-acre site along the Arkansas River in south Wichita. The park includes a 40-acre lake for fishing and pedal boats and also offers a variety of recreational opportunities such as miniature golf, train rides, pony rides, volleyball, and picnicking. Picnic shelters are available to rent by contacting Watson Park (316-529-9940) for availability.
Wichita Park & Recreation supports 127 parks, eight recreation centers, nine swimming pools, 52 athletic fields, five golf courses, six interactive fountains, numerous adult and youth-based activities and athletics programs and 2,407 acres of rights-of-way.
