Allegiant Air will offer nonstop service from Wichita Eisenhower National Airport to Orlando-Sanford International Airport beginning Wednesday. The first flight is scheduled to depart at 9:40 a.m. and will arrive in Orlando at 1:18 p.m. Service is on Wednesdays and Saturdays and will be offered through Aug. 13.
Orlando is a popular destination for Kansans and ranks the ninth top market at ICT. Allegiant is known for low fares and unbundled fees. Passengers are advised to review Allegiant’s terms and conditions when planning their trip.
“With Allegiant Air’s new service to Orlando-Sanford, travelers are getting better access to two great destinations, Orlando's World Class attractions and the World's Most Famous Beach at Daytona Beach, both only 45 minutes away," said Victor White, Director of Airports.
Media are invited to Eisenhower National for the inaugural celebration of the nonstop service. Journalists wanting gate access must call Airport Administration (316 946-4700), no later than 2 p.m. on Tuesday, with their full name and date of birth. Gate passes will be handed out at the Allegiant ticket counter at 7:10 a.m. on Wednesday. Please bring a government-issued photo ID.
