The City of Wichita received two submitted “Offers to Purchase of the Hyatt Regency Wichita Hotel.” The submittals are posted on the City’s purchasing website, https://ep.wichita.gov/e-proc/venBidResults.asp?link=Bid+Results
“The City received local, regional and national interest and inquiries regarding the possible sale, which is indicative of the continued growth and interest in the Wichita region.” Said Scot Rigby, Assistant City Manager/Development Assistance Director.
The City issued a Request For Proposals (RFP) in April to seek qualified Offers to Purchase for the Hyatt Regency Wichita. The next steps include staff reviewing and conducting due diligence of each offer, then to recommend the Wichita City Council either enter into purchase agreement discussions or retain the property.
