With Election Day one week away, City of Wichita officials are reminding residents about free Wichita Transit service next Tuesday to encourage residents to vote.
On Nov. 8, Wichita Transit buses will offer free bus rides to residents who demonstrate they have voted by wearing an ”I Voted” sticker. To take advantage of the one-day offer, riders must wear their “I voted” sticker. The free service is an incentive to go vote.
Wichita Transit operates regular route bus service from 5:30 a.m. – 7:45 p.m., Monday through Friday across 17 routes throughout the city. Transit routes operate within serval blocks of most polling places (see attachment). Please call (316) 265-7221 or visit www.wichitatransit.org for bus route and schedule information.
