Trail Ride to Benefit Equine Victims in Texas

Help Wichita Park & Recreation support the equine victims in Texas with a fundraiser trail ride, "Ride for Texas", beginning at 2 p.m., Oct. 1, at Pawnee Prairie Park, 2625 S Tyler Rd.  Money donated to the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund will benefit the United States Equestrian Federation and provide veterinary care, feed, supplies, shelter, and transport to stables and horses affected by Hurricane Harvey. 



• Cash and checks are accepted the day of the event from 2 - 4 p.m. Make checks payable to: United States Equestrian Federation (on the memo line put: USEF Disaster Relief Fund).

• Take donations to the Saddle Up & Ride event from 10 - 2 p.m., Oct. 14 at Pawnee Prairie Park and at any city recreation center until Oct. 27.

• Donate online at In the additional information box please make sure to put "Wichita Park & Recreation".


All riders are welcome (horses not provided) and 100% of donations are strictly used to benefit horses and horse owners. No amount is too small! For more information, please contact or (316) 268-4192.
