The new Wichita Ballpark took another significant step yesterday. Proposals for the design and construction of the new multi-purpose stadium to serve as home field for the MiLB Triple-A team relocating from New Orleans were due by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The City of Wichita and the Triple-A team are pleased to announce that three proposals were received from highly reputable firms. Each of the proposal teams included national, regional and local industry firms. The proposals will be reviewed by the Oversight Committee members and interviews of the Design-Build teams will be conducted in November.
The project includes a new stadium, National Baseball Congress museum and related infrastructure.
