Wichita Park & Recreation will host a Snow Day on January 2 at Mid-America All-Indian Center. Bring a sled and enjoy playing in snow provided by Snow Bros Snowmakers. Free coffee and hot chocolate provided by Dunkin' Donuts will be available during the event (while supplies last). All materials for the event have been donated by both vendors at no cost to the City.
The event is from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Snow Day is a free event open to children and adults. Parents are asked to stay and supervise any child under the age of ten. The event will be held while several of the area school districts are still on winter break.
"Wichita won't be waiting on Mother Nature so we can play in the snow, Wichita Park & Recreation is making it happen because we have fun all the time. We're fortunate to partner with great organizations such as the Indian Center and Toby Franke of Snow Bros Snowmakers to make this event possible," said Troy Houtman, Director of Park & Recreation for the City of Wichita.
The Mid-American All-Indian Center is located at 650 N Seneca St.
