McLean Boulevard, west of Seneca, will be closed to through traffic for the next month beginning April 22. During the closure, through traffic will be detoured using Meridian, Douglas and Seneca streets.
The closure is part of a project to replace 65-year-old valves within the City’s water distribution system. In addition, new underground structures will be constructed to allow access to the valves for future operation and maintenance activities.
Electronic message signs are posted along McLean Boulevard to provide advance warning of the closure.
The $900,000 project is funded by existing water rate service charges. The estimated date for completion is May 2019.
