Guests will sample wine, craft beer, old timey candy and delicious hors d’ oeuvres as they mosey along through Cowtown’s historic buildings. Along the way, they can try their luck to win a bottle at the Wine Toss, bid on fabulous items in the silent auction, and cap off an authentic Wild West experience with a stagecoach ride through Cowtown!
Adding to the nostalgic atmosphere will be live music, a working blacksmith, gunfight reenactments, and dancers. The Wichita Wagonmasters will preside over a festive BBQ dinner during the evening’s live auction.
The Annual Cowtown Mosey supports programming at Old Cowtown Museum and the Board of Trustee’s nearly 20,000-piece permanent artifact collection of textiles, furnishings, tools, furniture, machinery, farming equipment, and art. The Old Cowtown Museum collection reflects aspects of life on the frontier in the late 1860s and 1870s, and is showcased throughout the 54 historic and recreated buildings at Cowtown.
Old Cowtown Museum’s mission is to educate the public regarding the history of the West through interpretation of this time period as a living history museum, located along the banks of the Arkansas River. Each year, Cowtown serves thousands of school children through educational programs as well as programming for adults and families.
