The Wichita Public Library has partnered with K-State Research and Extension – Sedgwick County for the "Spring Gardening Series," March 24 - April 23 at the Rockwell and Evergreen Branch Libraries.
The gardening series will be held from 6- 7:30 p.m. at two different branches: the Rockwell Branch Library, 5939 E. 9th St. on Tuesday evenings, and the Evergreen Branch Library, 2601 N. Arkansas, on Thursday evenings.

Tuesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 26 will show you the top 20 pests and problems that plague Kansas vegetable gardens and how to be prepared to deal with them.
Tuesday, March 31 and Thursday, April 2 will talk about how trees enhance life, from shade and wind protection to carbon sequestration.
Tips for Shade Garden Plants
Tuesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 9 explores plants you may want to add to your shade garden and what you need to make those plants thrive.
Designing Drought Tolerant Landscapes
Tuesday, April 14 and Thursday, April 16 will explore planning and maintenance tips, as well as a list of drought-tolerant plants to include in landscaping plans.
An Introduction to Container Gardening
Tuesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 23 will explore tips to help successfully grow vegetables, herbs and ornamental plants in containers.
