The City of Wichita's municipal golf courses (Auburn Hills, Arthur B. Sim, MacDonald and Tex Consolver) will only allow one tee time with a max of five golfers every fifteen minutes effective Tuesday, March 17. Golfers are asked to avoid congregating in large groups in the clubhouses and on the golf courses.
Golfers must book a tee time in advance; no walk-ins will be accepted. Tee times can be booked at
www.golfwichita.com, Golf Wichita mobile app or by phone.
All tournaments, group lessons and events have been cancelled through May 1. The driving ranges at Auburn Hills and Tex Consolver will be closed until further notice.
"We are being very diligent following every recommendation by the Sedgwick County Health Department and the CDC to protect golfers and our staff" said Golf Division Manager Troy Hendricks. "Safety is our number one concern."
Additional steps taken to protect the public include, increased cleaning with germicidal bleach in the restrooms, customer check-in counters and golf carts at all four courses. In the concession areas, we have removed self-serve condiment stations, eliminated soda fountain refills, and shut off the water fountains. Free cups of ice water will be available in the clubhouses. On the courses water jugs have been removed. Staff will wear Nitrile gloves in order to limit exposure and reduce the spread of germs and the virus.
