The City of Wichita Division of Arts and Cultural Services is launching a public artist registry webpage, as a corollary for the Percent for Art Program.
In 2019, the Wichita City Council approved an ordinance that allots 2% of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project funds to provide for the funding, selection, creation and maintenance of public art. The public artist registry was created to serve as a resource to aid architects and developers in connecting with art consultants and artists when working on City projects.
The Public Artist Registry officially debuted on Sunday, November 1 and may be viewed at
wichita.gov/Arts/Registry/.
Local, regional, state and national artists who have experience working on large-scale public projects are encouraged to apply at
