Art That Touches Your Heart Exhibit Showcases Black Art

The 11th annual Art That Touches Your Heart (ATTYH) exhibit returns to CityArts until February 25, 2022. The exhibit features work by 19 artists that convey a wide range of personal expressions about the contemporary African American experience.

Participating artists come from all over the country, representing Wichita, Dallas, Kansas City, Memphis and include:

The annual exhibit is curated by the Art That Touches Your Heart Foundation in order to provide inspiration and support to African American art students. 2022 marks the second year the ATTYH exhibit has been on view at CityArts and the first that the artwork on display has filled all four gallery spaces. It is presented in partnership with Beta Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

An artist reception for Art That Touches Your Heart will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. during the First Friday art crawl on Friday, February 4 at CityArts, 334 N Mead. Select artists will also be present in the galleries on Saturday, February 5 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
