From high noon through 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, the public is invited to celebrate the Season Launch at Old Cowtown Museum, 1865 W. Museum Blvd. During this free and festive afternoon welcome back party, visitors may preview the museum’s upcoming events while enjoying all the living history Cowtown has to offer.
Doors open at noon and activities will be happening all day. Watch the Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club take the field at 1 p.m. and take in a gunfight or two – the Cowtown Cowboys are up at 1:30 p.m. and the River City Renegades are up at 3:30 p.m. See Daisy Longstem's Saloon Girls perform at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. in the saloon. Vendors will be selling their wares and snacks will be available from Busy B’s food truck and Kona Ice. Volunteer groups, such as the Entre Nous Victorian Dancers, will be on site to help guests learn more about the 2023 season, including volunteer and membership opportunities at Cowtown.
The event will also kick off a month-long promotion on family/grandparent memberships, normally $65 but on sale for $10 off throughout April.
Admission to Old Cowtown is free on Sundays, thanks to a generous donation from Colby Sandlian. Regular museum admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $7 for youth, $6 children aged 5-11, and children four and under get in free. Cowtown members receive free admission.
