American Airlines will offer daily, nonstop flights from Wichita to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport beginning Sunday, Nov. 5. The flights will be operated with a 65-seat CRJ-700 aircraft that include premium cabins. Phoenix is the second most popular destination from Wichita but has been without daily service since September 2020.
The flight schedule is designed to be convenient for business travelers with a morning departure and an evening return.
- Depart ICT 6:30 a.m.; arrive PHX 7:25 a.m.
- Depart PHX 7:55 p.m.; arrive ICT 10:52 p.m.
- These are local times for each respective city.
American Airlines' hub in Phoenix offers easy connections to popular destinations in southern California such as Los Angeles, Orange County, San Jose, San Diego and more. This will provide Kansans with more convenient options for travel to these sought-after locations.
“American Airlines is excited to return nonstop service between Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for the first time in over three years,” said Philippe Puech, American Airlines Director of Short-Haul Network Planning. “We are excited to offer our third nonstop destination from ICT. Resuming service to PHX will provide local residents with convenient one-stop access to the places they want to visit most across American’s global network.”
The service provided by American Airlines will be available year-round, ensuring consistent accessibility for travelers. “We are thrilled to have daily service return to Phoenix, our second most popular destination. This will be a huge benefit to our business and leisure travelers. Many thanks to American Airlines for adding this year-round service to our schedule,” said Jesse Romo, Director of Airports.
