For another year, Wichita Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) has been nominated for USA TODAY's 10 Best Readers’ Choice travel award for Best Small Airport. Currently, ICT is at #5 in the ranking. We need more voting from the community to work our way to the top.
Residents are encouraged to vote once a day on each of their devices until October 2.
This ranking is important in many aspects: not only does it give ICT bragging rights, but it elevates our entire region to visitors. It also helps attract conventions, sporting events and increase tourism. Plus, it helps the airport’s relationships with airlines, knowing that they serve the best small airport in the U.S.
Voting ends on Monday, October 2. Please vote at USA Today’s 10 Best Small Airport and share the contest URL with your social network.
Wichita has been chosen as a contender based on excellent parking facilities, speed of security, high passenger approval ratings, cleanliness, rental car facilities and concessions. The airport also scores points for its high percentage of on-time departures.
Wichita has finished as high as third in previous years of the contest.
