For the second time, Wichita Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) has been voted as a top five small airport in the U.S., coming in as the #3 Best Small Airport in the country from a list of 20 nominated airports for USA TODAY's 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award. Wichita also received the #3 ranking in 2020.
During the voting period, strong support from the community contributed to Eisenhower National Airport advancing in the rankings to finish in the #3 spot. Airlines and airport tenants proudly encouraged ICT customers to vote for Wichita. This ranking is important in many aspects. Not only does it give us bragging rights, but it elevates our region to visitors. It helps attract conventions and sporting events and increases tourism. Plus, it helps the airport’s relationships with airlines, knowing that they serve one of the best small airports in the U.S.

Wichita has been chosen as a contender based on excellent parking facilities, speed of security, high passenger approval ratings, cleanliness, rental car facilities, and concessions. The airport also scores points for its high percentage of on-time departures.
