Groups
It's fun to volunteer in a group! If your church, non-profit, or just a group of friends are searching for a one-day or multiple day volunteer opportunities, look no further. We offer several projects for groups and there is no minimum age for volunteers. Some ideas include:
- Planting flowers and beautifying plant beds
- Painting and upkeep of the Yellow Brick Road
- Painting the horse corral
- Train track repair
- Cleaning of the Island
- Shoreline restoration
- Repair and painting of wooden signs
Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
There are a number of rewarding ongoing volunteer opportunities. Watson Park is open daily with extended summer hours and extended weekend hours in the spring and fall. Contact us and we will match the perfect activity with you. Ongoing volunteers must be at least 18 years old and have completed a background check.
- Patching, painting, and repair of pedal boats
- Playground cleaning
- Train track maintenance
- Miniature Train operation
- Pony care and ride monitoring
- Groundskeeping including raking leaves, weeding flower beds, pruning, sweeping, and litter removal
